Without any doubt, Tulum is one of Quintana Roo’s paradises everyone has to visit at least once since it has an incredible environment, the mangroves that cover it are particularly beautiful, and the colorful surrounding reefs full of marine life which are part of the second biggest coral reef barrier in the world.

Tulum was one of the most important cities for the Mayans, thanks to its location, its participation in navigation and Mayan commerce gave it a key role. It’s considered nowadays a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

In addition, Tulum served as a “lighthouse” for navigators, thanks to the windows that the Mayas built with such precision that prevented clashes with the reefs that surround the coast.
